I'm not sure there's a message here for project managers, other than to recognize--not that managers don't already--that for many on the team electronic networks, and the access and functionality they convey, are a religion.
So perhaps my advice is: Beware the culture mismatches between those that are so committed, and those that are not. The former relish minutiae, precision if not accuracy, and scheduling and timing in small increments; whereas the latter may be strategic, abstract, and approximate.
In the words of yet another poet: "It takes a village..."
